Graeme Wallis
Managing Partner - Hargrave Succession
Meet Graeme Wallis, an experienced professional who has worked in different industries and companies, ranging from small family-owned businesses to multinational corporations. Graeme has spent over 11 years working in corporate finance, M&A advisory, and asset management.
Graeme's career started in operational roles where he developed his acumen working for a family-owned multinational tire distributor, helping to develop and improve operational processes in mining tire installations, and working for small family-owned businesses in different capacities.
Graeme has also pursued various academic degrees and certifications, including a Masters degree from the London Business School, where he worked part-time as a research scholar, a designated Sloan Fellow, and was one of two class recipients of the Business School's Alumni Scholarship. He also holds degrees in finance and economics from Thompson Rivers University and computer engineering from the University of Victoria.
Graeme's experience in different roles and industries has helped him develop a diverse set of business and leadership skills. He has led a team of corporate finance professionals, managed multi-year client coverage and sales programs, structured and navigated complex financial transactions, managed a P&L in support of $1.5bn+ of assets under management, and worked night shifts in a tire shop to pay for university tuition.
Overall, Graeme's diverse experiences have given him a unique perspective on business combined with a wide range of hard and soft skills that he uses to lead teams and make decisions. He believes in lifelong learning, leading through action, and is keen to learn more about your business.
Graeme and his family live in the community of Long Ashton, a stone's throw from Bristol. He is an avid cycler and enjoys spending weekends with his family and working on DIY projects around the house.
